GM 300mm HP Series 6L80 Torque Converter

The 6L80 torque converter is a direct upgrade for GM 6L80 applications that need stronger internal components without moving to an aggressive high-stall setup. This 300mm HP Series converter combines a factory-style 1800–2000 RPM stall speed with billet components, making it well suited to daily-driven GM trucks and street-focused builds.

Built around the original 300mm (12-inch) converter size, this 6L80E torque converter features a billet front cover and billet lockup apply piston for added strength in the areas that matter most under repeated street use. The furnace-brazed impeller, flanged-style hub and bearing retainer complete the construction for a durable replacement and upgrade solution.

Built for Street and Truck Applications

This 300mm 6L80 torque converter is designed for drivers who want an upgraded converter while retaining street-friendly characteristics. The factory-style stall range keeps the converter suited to normal driving rather than introducing the higher stall characteristics associated with dedicated performance converters.

The billet construction also makes it a practical choice when replacing an original 6L80 converter during a transmission rebuild, replacement, or drivetrain upgrade.

6L80E Replacement Torque Converter

If your GM 6L80 needs a replacement torque converter, selecting the correct converter specifications is essential. Verify the transmission, converter diameter, application and vehicle configuration before ordering. The HP Series 300mm converter is intended for the appropriate GM truck applications rather than every 6L80-equipped vehicle.

For a stock or mildly modified street truck, this 6L80 performance torque converter provides an upgraded construction while maintaining a factory-style stall range.
