Aston Martin DB5-Style Bond Display

Aston Martin DB5-Style Bond Display

Aston Martin DB5-Style Bond Display typically means looking for one of three things: a high-end die-cast model with working “gadgets,” a LEGO creator set, or specialized memorabilia like framed blueprints or 1:1 scale replica parts.

1. High-Detail Die-Cast Displays

For collectors, the most authentic displays come from brands like Eaglemoss or Playmobil (which offers a surprisingly detailed Bond-licensed version). These usually feature the signature “007” modifications.

• Playmobil James Bond Aston Martin DB5 – Goldfinger Edition: This is a great desk-sized display that includes functional features like the ejector seat, revolving number plates, and retractable machine guns. It also comes with James Bond and Goldfinger figures.

• Die-Cast 1:18 Scale Models: Often produced by Autoart or Corgi, these are stationary models designed for a glass case, focusing on high-accuracy paint and interior detail rather than “toys.”

2. LEGO Creator Display

If you enjoy a “build-and-display” experience, the LEGO version is the gold standard for Bond fans.

• LEGO Creator Expert James Bond Aston Martin DB5: This set is a sophisticated display piece with over 1,200 pieces. It manages to integrate almost all of the movie gadgets—including the rear-window bullet shield and tire scythes—into a brick-built aesthetic that looks great on a bookshelf.

3. Specialized Bond Memorabilia

For a more “office” or “gallery” feel, you might consider non-model displays:

• Aston Martin DB5 Blueprint Art: These are often framed, high-quality technical prints showing the “Q-Branch” modifications in detail.

• Prop Replica Gadget Boxes: Some high-end shops sell display boxes containing a replica 007 gear lever with the “Eject” button flip-cap.

Summary Recommendation

• For the “Gadget” Enthusiast: Go with the Playmobil Goldfinger Edition. It is the most interactive display and has the best “Bond” play-features for its size.

• For the Enthusiast/Builder: The LEGO Creator Expert DB5 offers the most rewarding experience and serves as a great conversation piece.
