What the 3-Year Unlimited-Mile Warranty Covers

The Engine Supply US warranty covers qualifying defects in materials and workmanship during the applicable three-year warranty period.

The warranty is not limited by mileage. Whether the vehicle is driven occasionally or accumulates substantial mileage, the three-year coverage period remains based on time rather than a mileage threshold.

Warranty coverage remains subject to the applicable product terms and the requirements outlined below.

Coverage for Engines

Our engine warranty applies to qualifying crate, rebuilt, and used engines covered by the applicable warranty.

Engines must be installed correctly and operated with the appropriate supporting systems. Proper installation is important because an engine’s reliability depends on more than the engine itself.

Before installation and operation, verify that the application has the appropriate:

  • Cooling system

  • Lubrication system

  • Fuel system

  • ECU and wiring

  • Exhaust system

  • Accessories

  • Engine mounts

  • Transmission

  • Calibration or tuning

  • Fluids and filters

The engine must also be used within its intended operating requirements.

Coverage for Transmissions

Qualifying automatic, manual, rebuilt, and used transmissions are covered by the applicable 3-year, unlimited-mile warranty.

Proper transmission installation is critical to protecting the unit and maintaining warranty eligibility.

Before operating the vehicle, make sure the transmission has:

  • The correct fluid

  • The correct fluid level

  • Properly functioning cooler and cooler lines

  • Correct torque converter or clutch installation

  • Proper electronic connections where applicable

  • Correct linkage or control configuration

  • Compatible engine and drivetrain components

  • Proper driveshaft and mounting configuration

If a previous transmission failed, the cooling system, cooler, lines, and related components should be properly inspected and serviced before the replacement transmission is operated.

Engine & Transmission Packages

Complete powertrain packages can simplify the process of matching major drivetrain components, but the buyer is still responsible for confirming application compatibility and identifying any additional components required for installation.

Depending on the specific package, supporting components may include or require:

  • ECU

  • Wiring harness

  • Torque converter

  • Clutch

  • Engine mounts

  • Transmission crossmember

  • Driveshaft

  • Fuel system components

  • Cooling components

  • Exhaust components

  • Accessories

  • Tuning or calibration

Review the individual product listing carefully to confirm exactly what is included with the package.

Proper Installation Is Required

Warranty coverage depends on proper installation and use of the product.

We strongly recommend professional installation by a qualified technician familiar with the specific engine, transmission, vehicle, and application.

Incorrect installation can result in damage that is unrelated to a defect in the warranted product.

Before starting or operating an installed powertrain, verify that all supporting systems are correctly installed, compatible, filled with the proper fluids, and functioning as required.

What the Warranty Does Not Cover

The warranty covers qualifying defects in materials and workmanship. It does not automatically cover damage caused by improper installation, misuse, neglect, incompatible components, or conditions outside the intended application.

Unless specifically covered by the applicable product warranty, exclusions may include:

  • Improper installation

  • Incorrect application

  • Incompatible components

  • Abuse or misuse

  • Neglect

  • Overheating

  • Fluid starvation

  • Incorrect fluid or fluid level

  • Contamination

  • Improper tuning or calibration

  • Unauthorized modifications

  • Unauthorized disassembly or repairs

  • Damage caused by another component

  • Continued operation after a known problem develops

  • Normal wear and maintenance items

Additional product-specific exclusions or requirements may apply.

Performance & Modified Applications

Performance engines, transmissions, swaps, and modified vehicles require careful consideration of the entire drivetrain.

Changes to horsepower, torque, boost, tuning, gearing, cooling, fuel delivery, or drivetrain configuration can place additional demands on components.

The 3-year, unlimited-mile warranty does not mean every modification or type of vehicle use is automatically covered.

Warranty eligibility remains subject to the applicable product warranty, installation requirements, operating conditions, and exclusions.

If You Experience a Problem

If you notice an unusual noise, fluid leak, overheating, loss of power, abnormal shifting, warning light, or another indication of a potential powertrain problem, stop operating the vehicle when it is safe to do so.

Continuing to operate a vehicle with a suspected failure can cause additional damage.

Contact Engine Supply US before disassembling the product, authorizing repairs, or continuing to operate the vehicle.

How to File a Warranty Claim

1. Contact Engine Supply US

Contact us as soon as possible after identifying a potential warranty issue.

Have your order information available along with a description of the problem.

2. Provide Product & Vehicle Information

Depending on the situation, we may request:

  • Order or invoice number

  • Vehicle year, make, and model

  • Engine and transmission information

  • Installation date

  • Current mileage

  • Description of the issue

  • Photos or videos

  • Diagnostic trouble codes

3. Obtain Warranty Authorization

Do not disassemble, modify, repair, or return a product for a warranty claim without prior authorization from Engine Supply US.

Unauthorized work may affect warranty eligibility.

4. Inspection & Diagnosis

Depending on the issue, Engine Supply US may require diagnostic information, testing, inspection, or return of the product before determining whether the reported failure qualifies for warranty coverage.

5. Warranty Resolution

If a qualifying defect is confirmed, Engine Supply US will provide the applicable warranty remedy according to the terms governing the product.

The resolution may involve repair, replacement, or another remedy permitted under the applicable warranty.

Labor and Related Costs

Unless specifically stated in the applicable product warranty, warranty coverage applies to the warranted product and does not automatically include costs associated with:

  • Engine or transmission removal

  • Installation labor

  • Diagnostic services

  • Towing

  • Vehicle rental

  • Storage

  • Fluids

  • Filters

  • Shop supplies

  • Vehicle downtime

  • Loss of income or revenue

  • Incidental or consequential expenses

The applicable product warranty determines what costs, if any, are included with a warranty claim.

Warranty Does Not Replace Fitment Verification

A warranty protects against qualifying covered defects. It does not replace the buyer’s responsibility to confirm that an engine, transmission, or powertrain package is appropriate for the intended application.

Before ordering, verify important details such as:

  • Vehicle year, make, and model

  • Engine configuration

  • Transmission configuration

  • 2WD or 4WD

  • Bellhousing pattern

  • Electronics

  • Transfer case compatibility

  • Driveshaft requirements

  • Mounting configuration

  • Accessories

  • Horsepower and torque requirements

  • Intended vehicle use

If you’re unsure whether a product is right for your application, contact Engine Supply US before placing your order.

Keep Your Warranty Documentation

Keep your purchase and installation documentation throughout the warranty period.

We recommend retaining:

  • Order confirmation

  • Invoice

  • Warranty documentation

  • Installation records

  • Service records

  • Maintenance records

  • Diagnostic information

  • Relevant receipts

These documents may be requested when evaluating a warranty claim.
